In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M), we will reflect on the institute’s scientific achievements and explore the future directions of Earth system research. The symposium will feature an outstanding lineup of distinguished speakers from across the Max Planck Society, as well as scientists whose careers began at MPI-M. Together, we will look back on five decades of research and collaboration, and look ahead to the exciting opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
