Connection by Public Transport
The closest subway station to DKRZ and MPI-M is Schlump (lines U2 and U3). From here you can reach us in about 7 minutes on foot.
Arrival by Train
You can find train connections to Hamburg via the Deutsche Bahn websites.
From Hamburg Central Station
Coming from the main station, take the subway line U2 (direction Niendorf Nord / Niendorf Markt) to Schlump station. Travel time is approx. 10 minutes.
From Hamburg-Dammtor Train Station
If you are traveling via Hamburg-Dammtor train station, you can take bus lines 4 and 5 directly in front of the station. Travel time incl. walking distance is about 10 - 20 minutes, depending on the bus line:
- Take bus line 4 (direction Wildacker / Langenfelder Damm) and get off at Bundesstrasse.
- With bus line 5 (direction Nedderfeld / Burgwedel) you get off at the bus stop Grindelhof, turn left into Rentzelstrasse and then turn right into Bundesstrasse.
Arrival by Plane
Coming from Hamburg Airport, take the S-Bahn line S1 (direction Blankenese / Wedel) to Ohlsdorf station. Change to the subway line U1 (direction Grosshansdorf / Farmsen / Volksdorf / Ohlstedt) to the station Kellinghusenstrasse. At the opposite platform, change to the subway line U3 (direction Wandsbek-Gartenstadt) and get off at Schlump station. Travel time is approx. 25 - 30 minutes.
Travel time by taxi is approx. 25 - 50 minutes, depending on traffic.
