The nextGEMS Cycle 3 Hackathon is our third project meeting and shall serve the purpose of analyzing the new Cycle 3 simulations. Some impressions from the work and atmosphere at our previous two hackathons is presented in our news articles. This time, a team of experts from the marine ecosystem and fisheries sectors will join us and collaborate on defined Challenge Problems in addition to the theme internal work.
The hackathon will take place in Madrid, at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, from Mon, 29 May, to Fri, 2 Jun 2023. The event will be preceded by a data handling seminar to get everyone on the same page and equip you with tools to hack your way through the following in-person meeting.
For this event we charge a participation fee of EUR 150, which will cover lunches, coffee breaks and one dinner.
Timeline:
- 14 Feb - registration opens
- 3 April - registration closes
- 6-13 April - participants receive confirmation letters and instructions for the payment of the participation fee
- 30 April - deadline for payment of the participation fee
